The Pinellas Weavers Guild was formed in 1946 in Pinellas County, Florida for the purpose of continuing the art of handweaving and other fiber arts, and preserving them for future generations. Our general meetings run monthly from September through May and the Guild sponsors workshops during which nationally and internationally recognized instructors come to teach. Members also conduct mini-workshops to share their areas of expertise. Due to the ever-changing situation with Covid-19, we are currently unable to meet in person. We hope that will change in the near future.
In addition to handweaving, the Guild sponsors groups studying spinning, dyeing, bobbin lace, kumihimo and other related fiber arts.
