2 Day Workshop: Where the Shuttle Meets the Shed

PWG Members get priority registration. Cost for members is $90.  Participants in this 2 day workshop will weave 3 or more deflected double weave samples on your pre-warped 8 shaft loom using various fibers and setts. We will also explore selvedge methods for beautiful finishing. At the conclusion of Day 1, we will cut samples off our looms and hand wash using different levels of agitation. On the second day we will discuss and compare hand washed samples for movement and deflection vs. differential shrinkage. We will then explore a simple treadling OR a tie up change to weave your own scarf with the remainder of your warp. Participants will provide their own materials: 18/2 Zephyr 100 grams, 5/2 or 8/2 Tencel or Bamboo.  Questions contact Kathleen at missjujubee@gmail.com
